NUMBER 9 - Jaguar E-type Series 1 4.2

Craig spent fourteen years restoring his (very) early Jaguar E-Type 4.2. It was the ninth left-hand drive OTS off the production line. From the commission plate missing the 1E prefix to many 3.8 features, this is a truly early car. To honor its uniqueness Craig has fully restored "Number 9" to factory condition - quirks and all. The icing on the cake is the beautiful yet rare, Carmine Red.
Udo Gietl and the BMW F750

Richard Diehl was able to work with Udo Gietl to bring a rare BMW F750 back to its original race condition. Back in the early 70s BMW was known for its reliable, but not very exciting road bikes. Under the stewardship of Udo Gietl, this bike was highly successful and put BMW firmly on the sport bike map. This is the story of how Richard Diehl found that bike and worked with Udo Gietl in bringin...

Dorothy bought her Spitfire new in 1968. She's preserved and driven it regularly ever since. Her dad was a WWII fighter pilot who taught her to drive and to fly, and she relishes the experience of both driving and flying equally. This film was shot over two in days in blistering heat, but Dorothy's still fresh enthusiasm comes through it all. This film was commissioned by Moss Motors.

A personal story. I owned a Miata in the '90s, which I sold when I moved to California. It was my first sports car. Many years later I bought a Triumph TR4. Now, I'm the owner of another Miata - just like the first. I now have a fresh appreciation for the joys and trade-offs of owning both an iconic British sports car from the 60's and a Mazda Miata, the sports car that gave new life to the con...

I drove a TR3B #74 DP in SCCA races out of the San Jacinto region (now Houston region) Always got 1st in Class 3rd overall. 1 DNF. (brand new Lucas condenser was a dud) Car was highly tuned. Had overdrive transmission. Out ran cars in higher classes, notably a Yenko Stinger and Triumph spitfire GT6. Could accelerate with old B production Corvettes up to 100 mph. 139 mph top speed on mile long straightway. Did not have cam as wild as what Kasner used but had a wider torque range. Power came on between 4500 and 6500 rpm. My personal driver was 68 TR4 IRS, mildly tuned. Very nice ride until a woman drove into the back while it was parked. Drove it from Houston to the Bay Area in 30 hours. Not much Interstate back then. Went through a tank of fuel at 120 mph through West Texas.

I've had a "thing" for British sports cars for over 50 years (I'm 72). In the early to mid 70's, I had a '69 Triumph TR6 that spent as much time in the shop as it did on the road. In 2020 I wisely bought a new Mazda Miata. No, it's not British but it's totally reliable and pretty quick too with a stock 181 HP in a 2200 lb. car. I had an aftermarket cat-back muffler setup installed and it now sounds amazing and I gained ~8 hp. by doing so. The coolest thing is that you can put the top up or down in about 5-7 seconds... no lie! As much as I'd like to get another British sports car something like this TR3A, I'm stickin' with my Miata. It's a total blast to drive and will be with me for many years to come. 😊

The very first car I bought was a silver 1998 NB, that I gave to my mum on her 60th birthday in 2020, because she always wanted an MX-5. Last year my mum suddenly passed away... and now I have the car back. I was never that interested in MX-5s, but when my mum took me on road trips in the short time she had the car, I grew fond of it. I hope it will be my Forever Car and if it's okay with you, I would also call her Ginya. I grew up with a silver Golf 1 convertible, that my mum had for 17 years and the little MX-5 reminds me of the good old days. At the time I bought the car, it was one of the cheapest (non-crashed) NBs available, so the old lady needs a bit of love and she'll get it.
